PhD in Industrial Engineering. I also have a Master’s Degree in Financial and Accounting Management from the Pompeu Fabra University and an MBA from La Salle in Barcelona. I was an Extraordinary Doctorate Award of the University of Girona by the doctoral thesis “University technology transfer: Modalities and Strategies”. I enjoyed a scholarship from the Generalitat de Catalunya for doing research abroad, with a stay in the Office of Intellectual Property of Michigan State University. I have several publications, participations in conferences and presentations related to university technology transfer. I have been a member of the Board of Directors of Inveready Seed Capital, a company dedicated to technological investments in the seed phase. I am an evaluator of different journals and agencies.
Since November 2014 I am director of the Catalunya Emprèn Program of the Generalitat de Catalunya and also associate professor of the University of Barcelona, in the master’s degree Creation of Technology-Based Companies, with the subject “Management of Technology”.
Just before, for over 7 years, I was the director of the Science & Tecnology Park of the University of Girona. Previously I had been director of the Research and Innovation Park of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and, between 1994 and 2005, I was responsible for Technology Transfer and Business Creation at the University of Girona. I have developed several research projects related to innovation policies, business creation, technology transfer and science and technology parks.
